What color walls would match cheetah bedsheets and black furniture? HELP
?
What color walls would match cheetah bedsheets and black furniture? Im redoing my room and any help would be appreciated as I can not think of a color that would compliment well. The floors are hardwood that later on I will add carpet, and i'll just pick the carpet color whatever matches the rest. But my main concern is the color walls. The cheetah sheets are brown, creme and black spots. Please help!
thank you for your responses! my only concern is that the color of the walls also match the black furniture..
Any tone of mossy green is a great color to compliment the animal print, be it light or dark. Mocha's also work nicely. You could even paint the upper 1/2 a light tone & the bottom darker (this is called tone on tone). Burgundy colors look pretty elegant with animal prints as well. Any of these colors used together work nicely too. There are so many options. Use a chair rail if budget allows, or even a boarder to separate the 2 colors. 0r, you could paint a 2 " (or so) strip of one of the colors mentioned above as a separator -. ie moss on top, a color pulled from your bedding for the stripe & a burgundy on the bottom. It's all in what is pleasing to YOUR eye. Measure up from the floor molding (I generally use a yard stick & keep with 36", that makes it super easy to tape off -using blue painters tape for crisp, clean lines, so the stripe can be painted. Go to the paint store & get yourself some color swatches that appeal to you, be sure to grab a few that have the same tones as your print. Cut them apart & mix n' match them. As for your hardwood floor, I certainly would NOT cover them with carpet. I'm not a big fan of carpet, unless absolutely necessary (ie like over cement) Carpet holds dirt, pet hair and all kinds of other yucky, invisible to the naked eye kinds of things. Accent rugs are an option though. Something soft and furry to land your bare feet on when you climb out of bed

Can you touch up a newly painted wall in a few spots w/o a full second coat?
I just painted a large room yesterday in an eggshell blue/gray color and now there are very small flecks of the offwhite color underneath showing in a few places. It might be from the roller pulling back a bit of paint. It probably isn't even noticeable to the casual observer, but of course, I notice. Can I touch up these areas without a full blown second coat and if so, how? I really don't want to spend another 8 hours painting a second coat!
Yes you can. Just go over the spots that you missed and let it dry. You will never be able to tell the difference.
