I drew this subconciously (bird). What does it mean?

I scratched this into my wallpaper while breaking up with my girlfriend over the phone. Being honest I was devastated and went into depression for a fair few months after - deep down I still love her. This was 6 months ago.

I scratched it subconciously, I remeber looking at it after the phonecall, and being shocked by its unmissable similarity to a bird.

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me more about what it means. In a "dream interpretation" sort of way.

Just some extra information.

It was a good relationship and we we're really close. The breakup wasn't because we fell out or anything.

What I see is a bird, one with a very positive disposition. For all intents and purposes, it looks like what Fonzie would look like if he had been a bird. Bird symbolise freedom and restraint from being tamed in a restrictive way. They can fly up, over, around, underneath anything. It's timing suggests to me that you realise that the breakup was the right thing to do, and that you have the freedom that you desire rather than being "caged" by an unhealthy relationship.
