Ready to Paint walls; removed wallpaper, have uneven surface-what to use before painting? Sanded already.?

Just using Primer won't work-there are some old mounting areas for bars that were half-assed plastered- and uneven patches in the wall board. I don't care if I need to sand the surface again, but want a smooth finish for the enamel (in bath).

Please don't listen to these women. They are confusing the acrylic enamel paint with the finish type, acrylic enamel is available in 4 different finishes flat, eggshell, satin, high gloss ( each manufacturer uses different names for their finishes). Use joint compound to float out the imperfections, if the surface of the drywall paper is torn, prime it first (it will seal down the fuzz) then float out the area.
