If someone cuts their foot, and than die in an unrelated circumstance minutes later?

does that wound stay in the same condition or does it close up? or what happens?

The wound will stay opened and seep fluids (blood and water, etc).

If we have the top of a hackberry tree cut off, will it die? How much would it cost?

When the builders built this house, they left the hackberry tree on the property line. It's growing into the power lines. I love this tree; it's limbs droop over the yard and it's beautiful. The power company uses Asplundt to cut trees and they have a habit of decimating trees that grow into the power lines. I'd like to cut it off about 30 or 40 feet up so we could keep several of the beautiful limbs that droop over the yard. Also I'd like to do this so it won't grow any higher so this will be a permanent solution to it being under the power lines. It's unnatural though and I don't know if the tree would survive it. I also don't know if I could even afford to have it done as I've checked and full tree removal is very expensive.

Hackberry trees will not resprout any limbs that will be usefull in the long run. They are VERY prone to rotting back from cuts, especially large pruning cuts that Asplundt uses. You'd only have an on going problem for many years. And eventually, the limbs will rot back, fall off in storms.
Check with your local county extension office, and ask them for a list of trees in your area that will do well under power lines in your area.
