What kind of art does Cooper Union focus on?
So i am extremely interested in applying to cooper union (art) but i can't seem to get a lot of information about the school. i've heard from some people that cooper union focuses more on abstract and contemporary art? is this true? and i would also like to get some extra information outside from just their website. perhaps students that are enrolled in cooper union. but any extra information about cooper union would be great. (not the history and all the stuff but more of what they look for in portfolilos. things that will help for applying) thanks 
Cooper Union's FA program focuses on 2D design such as drawing, painting, illustration, 3D design such as sculpture, and conceptual art. It's an extremely intensive program. The figure drawing class was 5 hours long! They're more interested in the approach and process of your work rather than results.
