Have: very deep & high tub. Grotty kitchen sink. Baby en route. Best bath options...?
I can't see comfortably leaning over the massive claw-foot Victorian tub. I am never going to keep my kitchen sink clean enough to wash a baby in.
I can get in the tub with the bub, obviously, but that's not going to be the solution every single time.
Would you find some sort of padded ottoman-y thing to put next to the tub to raise yourself to a better height? (Tub's still very deep, though.) Start eyeballing the marginally large bathroom sinks? Get a baby bath tub and put it on the floor, back pain from lifting it to empty it be damned?
Or, something better I'm not thinking of?
Bathroom counter sounds obvious, and I should've mentioned: pedestal sink. No counter. :-/
you don't HAVE to bathe him/her in the bathroom or the kitchen ya know. they make baby tubs that you can put anywhere! you just use a pitcher and take the warm water to him.
i would do mine in my bedroom...right on my dresser (which was waist high, and large enough to hold all baby's things...shampoo, wash, towels etc.)...
it also was better for him because i could have the room nice a warm instead of in a cold bathroom!
very simple, and when i was done, i just dumped the baby bath out in the bathroom tub.
